- Work with stakeholders, technology and agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutions.
- Design, develop, enhance, modify and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirements.
- Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
- Ensures that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
- Be an integral part of the Information System’s team focused on the effective development and support of internal facing applications.
- Work collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity’s position within the Mutual Fund Industry.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics or Mathematics.
- 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge and experience in developing applications for mutual fund/investment industry
- Experience with full stack development practices including java, Angular and/or python
- Good knowledge of SQL or other database platforms such as oracle or progress
- Effective communication skills with ability to prepare project documentation & presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while being in a team environment
